Q: Where are you located?
A: We're in Portland's Overlook area. Call us for directions.
Q: What about tape and Quantegy closing?
A: We have many new and one pass reels of Quantagy 499 for rent. The tape rents for $35 a reel and is guaranteed to not be erased for two months after your last session.
Q: What are your rates?
A: $300 a day for a ten hour day, this includes an engineer, most times two
Q: Can I pay with a credit or debit card?
A: Yes, just click on the "Add to Cart" button on the contact page.
Q: How far in advance should I call to book a session?
A: The studio tends to book about a month in advance, so try to give us as much notice as possible, especially if you need a large block of time. We usually do have a few openings available on shorter notice. Please call to check the schedule.
Q: I know an engineer that I really like. Can I have her work on my project at Sidcar Studios
A: We're happy to open our doors to qualified engineers. Please call to discuss arrangements.
Q: What do I leave with at the end of the project?
A: If the project was tracked on analog tape, then you leave with your reels. If the project was done in the HD24XR, then you leave with a hard drive containing your tracks. If you mix with us, you will also leave with 1/4" tape or a data CD that is prepared to go to a mastering session, plus reference CDs containing your mixes in audio format.
